Focalpoint's Mobile Aerial Photographic System is unique.
Despite using the latest in technology, the key to its success is the simplicity, mobility and speed.

To see how the HiView 25 system works, please click here.

The aerial photographic system uses a pneumatic telescopic mast which, is either fitted to a vehicle, trailer or a tripod.

The 90ft mast is fitted to a specially adapted 4 x 4 vehicle and the 50ft masts can be used on a tripod or lightweight trailer.

The 50ft mast system, such as the HiView-50, is more portable and be carried through doorways whilst the 90ft system is more rugged and stable.

A head unit with camera is mounted is attached to the mast and connected via cable or remote control to the camera control unit.

The camera control unit has full control of the camera's pan, tilt, and zoom functions.

The mast can support various cameras including:
- High quality digital SLR
- 35mm SLR
- CCTV
- Digital Video

The camera control unit is used to adjust the camera position and zoom setting to achieve the right composition.

The exact image as the camera sees it can be viewed from the laptop or a colour monitor.

The laptop is used to adjust the camera settings and take the final image which, is downloaded immediately using the special software.

The image can be modified, enhanced and saved to CD whilst on site.

How it Works

Aerial Photography in Wind
At 90ft high, the camera has a tendency to move around in strong winds.

To solve this, guy ropes are used to stabilise the mast.

The guys ropes are attached to stakes in the ground or heavy objects.

360° Panoramic Images
Complete 360° photos can be taken and used as virtual tours, quicktime movies or cylindrical panoramic images.

Using adapted head units, the user can view the exact amount of degrees the camera rotates.

A series of 12 images are then stitched together for the panoramic image.

The resulting 360° panoramic images can be used for telecom mast surveys, historical reference or printing in hi-resolution.

Post Processing
All images taken are post processed using 'Adobe Photoshop'
The images are enhanced to your specification and prepared in a format that suits your needs.

We can provide you with the final image in digital format, print or framed
for a gift or display.
