Background
Tesco need no introduction as they are one of the largest top three retailers in the world.
Many of their stores countrywide are being updated and expanded, which
is big business.
The Architects involved with the projects generate
Computer Generated Images (CGI) of the stores as they are and overlay
the new stores in the surroundings.
In order to create the CGI of the stores, the architects need a series of images taken from various locations around the stores at specific heights.
Solution
Focalpoint worked with the architects to provide aerial photos of the Tesco stores according to their specifications.
A detailed map of the store was given to Focalpoint with exact positions marked to take the photos from.
From the map, Focalpoint were able to take the photos and give the exact height and focal length of the image taken. This information was fed into the software to produce the CGI's.
